AUGUST AND EVERYTHING AFTER

Once again the TFP boys played their hearts out at The Kee to Bala and won their way in Kee Rock Star Search Finals on Friday, September 2nd. They played a fantastic, energetic set that turned a lot of heads. Len in particular was in his element in all the love and all the lights. There was also a great deal of talk about Mick’s tie. Regardless, they were the unanimous first choice by all of the judges to move on to the most talented and upcoming eight Canadian bands that will make up the finals. This will mark the boy’s FIFTH performance at the legendary Kee in the last year; something to be really proud of.

And now begins the month we’ve all been waiting for. If you don’t hear about The Free Press this month, you’re broken and you should check yourself directly into the cemetery. Seriously, it’s a big month for the band. It looks like TFP will be added to radio stations in Sudbury, Owen Sound & Barrie (on the strength of their Kee performance!), their national television debut is later this week, a video shoot for ‘Storms’ is happening in the middle of the month and there’s a TON of shows around Ontario & Quebec this month. The biggest – of course – being the cd release party at the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on August 24th. Check the shows section for more details. Hope to see you all soon!!!
