SUMMER... CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS?
And the boys of The Free Press said goodbye to summer with four fantastic shows in Toronto (at the Horseshoe supporting 'Boy'), Brantford, Toronto (at Healey's with The Daftness) & Oshawa (Catch 22 w/ 'Kessel Run'). If you haven't taken the time yet, check out the forum and see what everyone's saying about the amazing live show this band has. If you caught a show, add your voice, too. The band would love to hear what you have to say.
If you haven't seen TFP yet, circle Friday, October 14th on your calendar. The lads will be supporting 'House of Not' at the Hard Rock Café - Club 279.
After much discussion and thought, The Free Press decided the time is right to begin work on their first full length cd. And they couldn't be happier about it. The rest of the month will be spent rehearsing and preparing for the new project the band has eagerly agreed to begin with producing legend J. Richard Hutt (who was the 2000 CCMA Producer of the Year, The Northern Pikes, The Skydiggers & Tom Cochrane.) The band plans to spend most of October going through the heap of material that will be considered for the record (Len & J.D. have been busy, busy, busy - they have at least 25 songs that are in consideration!!!) Look for some of the rehearsal tracks to be posted in the multimedia section soon!
