Kicking at the Darkness...
Hey folks,
We've had some emails, so we wanted to tell everyone that, "Yes, we're alive." There's been some vacations, family problems and work that's taken us away from the music for a few weeks here and there, but the changing of the leaves brings us back to the studio to buckle down and record one of the best rock/pop records in the history of music. It's a lot to live up to and it's why we keep going in and out of recording land - to improve the songs and make them strong enough to beat down all the crap that's on the radio these days. We've narrowed it down to about 16 tunes for the album and we'll keep you updated on what's going on.
There is one gigantic piece of news that seems pretty important to share with you. The Free Press is no longer a 4 piece band. Alex, J.D., Len & Mick are pleased to welcome our good pal, Jesse Pitcher, into The Free Press fold. He's good people, he's a great guitar player and he's a 7'3" Australian. All good reasons not to say no to a guy when he tells you he's joining the band. That's a picture of him below (not actual size). He'll play his first show with us this week when we head into IndieCan radio (www.indiecan.com) to record a show this week. And then he'll play his first live show with us at the Jimmy Jazz in Guelph on Friday, October 13th. Welcome him with open arms and stiff drinks.
