Mersey, Mersey Me

Well, we ended up staying at the Mersey House in Liverpool. This happened for a variety of reasons.

1. Heather & Michael (who own and run the joint) may be the most kind and generous people on earth.

2. Heather & Michael just love music, love people and make you feel loved. I can't remember the last time I've spent two consecutive nights sitting up for 4 or 5 hours and talking until the wee hours of the morning.

3. Heather & Michael (who may be the most and generous people on earth) said we could 'just lay our heads' here again. How often do you get to 'lay your head' in a 3 story mansion with 14 foot celings AND play a rock and roll show? If you're fuzzy on the answer, it's simple. Not very often.

It felt very rock and roll to have a mini-residency at such a great venue. The crowd was intimate again tonight, but I suppose it usually is for a baby indie rock band on a Sunday in Nova Scotia in the dead of winter in a town of 3100 people.
We stood in the ocean, we finally had some pizza (it was delicious) and there were some great deals at the Pharma-Save. A good day all around.

Tomorrow we're off to explore other corners of Nova Scotia like the cour de bois of old. Destination #1 is the worlds first outhouse museum. Hard to believe that we won't find a story there.
