An Old Friend Pt 1

The mood of the tour was somewhat dour as we headed towards Fredericton. Tempers were a little hot, people were over-tired, cold and hungry. The fact that the show in PEI started at 11pm was also a factor when the morning came.

Personally I was a bit down because I lost a friend on the way to Charlottetown (despite the new one I gained ;). His name was Dusty. He was a small but proud rhinoceros that warded away evil and kept silent, steady watch over us and all the possible things that could fall apart. Dusty was the proverbial rug that tied the room together.

I lost Dusty.

Taking a picture of a large, horrifying moose sign.

At a gas station parking lot at the edge of the world.

He jumped from the van into the darkness quite possibly because the idea of a 15 km bridge was just too ridiculous and terrifying to endure.

I was crestfallen.

But I went on as one has to in this business.
